    Hey man, great video.
I want to advise you, when you editing your video, set the maximum volume under -6 so that you won’t have distortion when you upload your videos here.
    Cheers.

f you broadcast to an IP address that is using a streaming server (such as QuickTime Streaming Server, Darwin or others) the receiving machine will reflect the signal allowing other computers on the network to receive it.

  7. nugentmichael says:

If you broadcast to an IP address using QuickTime Streaming Server that machine will reflect the broadcast signal allowing all machines on the network to access the signal.

@GMOSU22 download the latest codecs for your os. I use win7 so i use the shark codecs. Let us know if that solves your issue.

MKV with external subs are not going to work with this program, had to disable subs in my case

i always get CCCP along with Core AVC and other things recommended by PS3mediaserver
My work around this issue is – bought a LG 55LW6500 TV got dirrect support for mkvs lol my ps3 is finaly at rest (im not much of a gamer)

Shit worked now I can copy all my Mkv movies that I download to my ps3 without problems and round abouts

    Guys, main point to make this work;

GIG LAN. This fixes the majority of issues!

Check the ‘Transcode Settings’ tab and look at your max buffer size – If it’s too high, this can cause issues. I changed mine from 600MB to 380MB and it’s a HUGE improvement.

CCCP works a treat for a Codec – Remember to get the correct file (x86 or x64).

There is an option in ‘Transcoding Settings’ tab called “Definitely disable subtitles”, use this!

    cccp-project . net

    All the best!

  24. MrCriticalPoint says:

It spends it’s time searching for the Subtitle file, so your PC is busy all the time!

  25. MrCriticalPoint says:

Made based on Java, by an employee of Google! Google FTW!

  26. MrCriticalPoint says:

There is an option in ‘Transcoding Settings’ tab called “Definitely disable subtitles”. Works a charm!

  27. MrCriticalPoint says:

@DimAciD Also, CCCP works a treat for a Codec – I used to install x64 codecs in a specific order to get smooth streaming and 5.1 surround from a 1080p video. No need for that anymore, CCCP sorts it all, straight “out the box”.

And finally, I have to admit, even with the kit I’m using, some of the larger 1080 still won’t rewind / FF, so I’ve taken to watching @ 720p, which even on a 50″ Panasonic G20 plasma panel, still looks the DOGS! ;)

  28. MrCriticalPoint says:

Same damn issue’s here. Netgear GIG switch, PS3, XBox360, PC, TV all in to the switch and then off to the router (Virgin Media supplied).

PS3 Media Server used to work amazingly well, but since it updated, no good.

One thing I suggest, check out the ‘Transcode Settings’ tab and look at the maximum buffer size – If you’ve got it set too high, then that can cause issues. I changed mine from 600MB to 380MB and it’s a huge improvement!

    Hope it helps DimAciD!

Haha, cool program, I like how it’s initials are PMS too XD

  30. SoooMungry says:

Thanks for the help! Do you know how to turn the subtitles off when playing mkv????

  31. thoughtstorn854 says:

worked like a charm!!!! thanks man but its slow to stream it correctly.

  32. khole15 says:

mine (ps3) just says, “there are no tracks” when i press the mkv file, ???

  33. viperfan100 says:

yeah ps3 media server doesnt play mkv files anymore im assuming… It plays half way through then it stops and gets an error

  34. hawwy1987 says:

Whoever made this program is a legend! I have been trying to get my MKVs to work for the past 2 hours. Tried activating DIVX, no luck. Tried Tversity and it said my files were corrupted. But this server does the job!

  35. SoulVotik says:

This service is made not to work properly. When you think you’ve got it right, it will find some way to frustrate you.

  36. SoulVotik says:

You have a very valid point. I had forgotten to mention that with this kind of setup, you need to have your laptop next to your TV at all times. To combat this distance problem I bought a wireless mouse and keyboard. I can do all my clicking and typing from the comfort of my couch. You don’t end up needing a long HDMI cable.

The other thing is you will find that the media server will find some way to not work for you soon. Don’t get frustrated all over again.

  37. michaelobua says:

Problem for me is i only have 1 laptop, and my workspace where i do my typing and such is too far from my tv for a hdmi to be a viable solution for me =/… On another note, i seem to have set up my network and my media server settings to a perfection now. MKVs 720p works flawlessly! But I really had to go try & error.. I don’t think theres a universal solution that will work for all setups.. =/
